- Teaching & Learning
I qualified from the University of Southampton in 2005, and spent a total of 9 years working in various NHS trusts across London and specialising in Oncology and palliative care for 6 of those years.
I left the UK in 2018, and spent 5 years working in various rehab roles within the NGO sector. This included working to establish a Physiotherapy department in a Trauma hospital in Cambodia, managing a project focussed on developing amputee rehabilitation in Ukraine and supporting Physiotherapy services and professional development courses for Physiotherapists in Iraq.
I completed my Masters in Public Health in 2020, which I pursued in part due to an interest in health systems strengthening in low and middle income contexts.
I recently joined the lecturing team at QMU, and more recently spent time with the UK Emergency Medical Team supporting the opening of a new trauma hospital at the request of their Ministry of Public Health.
