Having started my academic career at Glasgow Caledonian University in 2022, I focus on delivering engaging modules such as Accounting, Organisations and Society, Fundamentals of Risk, Ethics, Corporate Governance and Responsible Leadership, and Advanced Management Accounting.
My teaching fosters critical thinking and real-world application among students. As the TNE (Transnational Education) lead at GCU, I have had the privilege of teaching both in-person and online at respected institutions in China, including Jinan University and the Shandong Institute of Commerce and Technology.
This role has enabled me to develop and update modules in Risk and Corporate Finance, ensuring they remain both academically rigorous and relevant to contemporary challenges.
I have also secured a PhD studentship within the Department of Finance, Accounting, and Risk, contributing to research and academic development.
Additionally, I have played a key role in reviewing and redesigning modules to better align with university goals and student needs, always striving to create an enriching and dynamic learning environment.
In my spare time (ho ho ho), I enjoy seeing the world, supporting my local football team, AI evolution, playing video games and catching a number of weird musicians playing live.
I am currently in the process of undertaking a PhD in Risk Management, with Food Access and Food and Nutrition Security at the heart. This paper will look at the intervention of three footbridges linking foot systems between differing socioeconomic communities and the risks and opportunities that they present.
